FACULTY PROFILE Valerie Y. Suslow Associate Dean for Degree Programs Professor of Business Economics and Public Policy
Professor Suslow's current research centers on international cartels, both historical and modern, and on the renewed interest by antitrust authorities in prosecuting international cartels. Her recent publications on this topic have appeared in World Economy, Antitrust Law Journal, and Journal of Economic Literature. She is a senior editor of the Antitrust Law Journal. Since joining the Ross School of Business, Professor Suslow has taught the Applied Microeconomics core course in the BBA, MBA, and Executive MBA programs, the Business and Government elective in the BBA program, the Competitive Tactics MBA elective, and a PhD course on International Cartels. She also taught the Quantitative Skills Workshop for MBAs and Executive MBAs. She received the Victor L. Bernard Teaching Leadership Award in 2004. Professor Suslow is a co-author of the Microeconomics Study Guide (2005) to accompany the microeconomics textbook by Robert Pindyck and Daniel Rubinfeld, and in 1997 participated in creating Quantitative Skills Interactive, a CD-ROM for prospective MBAs.
