Directions, Maps, and Transporation

Conference Location

The main entrance to the University of Michigan Business School is located at the intersection of Monroe and Tappan Streets—William Davidson Hall. Tappan Street, Hill Street and East University Avenue border the Business School complex. Once inside the main entrance, take the main stairs to the second floor. Assembly Hall is down the hallway on the left. From the street, Assembly Hall is also accessible near the corner of Hill Street and Tappan Street.

Driving Directions

From Detroit Metro Airport
If you are driving from the airport, take I-94 West to the State Street Exit, #177. Turn right (North) onto State Street, then travel about 2 miles to the intersection of State and Hill Street. Turn right onto Hill Street, and take the second left onto Tappan street. The University of Michigan Business School's main entrance is located at the corner of Tappan and Monroe Streets.

From Northern Michigan
Take U.S. 23 South to M-14 to the Downtown Ann Arbor/Univ of Michigan - Main Street Exit. Continue on Main Street south 1 1/2miles to the left of the intersection of Main and Packard. Turn left on Packard, travel to Hill Street, and then turn left on Hill. Turn on the third street on the left, which is Tappan Street. The Business School's main entrance is located at the corner of Tappan and Monroe Streets.

From Detroit & Chicago
Take the I-94 State Street Exit, #177. Turn right (north) when traveling from Detroit, or left (north) when traveling from Chicago, onto State Street. Travel about two miles to the intersection of State and Hill Streets, then turn right onto Hill. Take the second left, which is Tappan Street. The Business School's main entrance is located at the corner of Tappan and Monroe Streets.

Ground Transportation

Detroit Metropolitan Airport (code: DTW) is located 30 miles east of Ann Arbor on I-94. It takes approximately 45 minutes to reach the Business School from the airport. The following means of transportation are recommended:

Info Session & Guided Tour - Visitors are invited to learn more about the University via an information session and/or a guided walking tour of campus. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions operates both.

Museum of Art - The museum houses one of the finest university art collections in the country and the second largest art collection in the state of Michigan. A community museum in a university setting, the Museum of Art offers visitors a rich and diverse permanent collection, supplemented by a lively, provocative series of special exhibitions and a full complement of interpretive program

Asia Library - The second largest Chinese collection in America after Harvard's, this is an extension
of the Graduate Library's research collections for humanities and social sciences, mainly in Chinese, Japanese and Korean languages, It has 579,575 volumes of book, 38,662 reels of micro-film, 30,447 sheets of microfiche, 2,271 current serial titles and 79 newspapers (316,392 volumes, 28,529 reels and 22,389 sheets in Chinese, 255,439 volumes, 9,838 reels and 8,058 sheets in Japanese and 7,744 volumes,295 reels in Korean).
