Marketing in China

Looking for a chance to gain an edge in your brand management/marketing interviews? How about an opportunity to learn how the agency side of the business works?

The Marketing Club has partnered with the 14th Annual Asian Business Conference to offer club members a unique opportunity to meet with one of the most influential women in advertising. Viveca Chan, Grey Global Group's CEO of Asia Pacific will be here from Hong Kong to speak on the ABC's China Panel. As part of her visit, she has agreed to meet with members of the Marketing Club on February 6th for an informal discussion on how global agencies build brands, the dynamics of client/agency relationships, and (briefly) on how the evolving China market is presenting new opportunities here and abroad.

A bit about Viveca Chan's career:

* 20+ years in the advertising industry
* Helped establish the Asian operations for Grey Global Group - the largest ad agency in New York, 7th largest in the world.
* Chairperson of the China Association of Accreddited Advertising Agencies (aka the "4A's" - global industry association).
* Named one of 17 global "Women Breaking Barriers" by Ad Age in 2000 *Winner of the 2002 "Contribution to Chinese Economy - Annual News Person Award"
* One of 2003's "Top 100 Women Entrepreneurs in China"

We know many of you will be in rehearsals for Follies, but for those that can make it, this is sure to be a great session.

Place: Michigan Room.

No special attire needed.
