Linda Lim

Linda Lim is Professor of Corporate Strategy and International Business at the Stephen M. Ross School of Business, University of Michigan Business School, where she also directs the Southeast Asia Business Program, is a member of the executive committees of the Center for International Business Education and the Center for Southeast Asian Studies, and is a faculty associate of the Center for Chinese Studies, the Center for Japanese Studies and the Center for South Asian Studies. She has also served as Associate Director of the University’s International Institute, and is a board member of the Knight-Wallace Journalism Fellows at the University.
A native of Singapore, Linda obtained her degrees in economics from the universities of Cambridge (BA), Yale (MA) and Michigan (PhD). She has authored, co-authored or edited four books and published nearly 100 other monographs, journal articles and book chapters on trade, investment, industrial policy, labor and business in Asia.
Linda teaches MBA courses and executive education sessions on The World Economy and Business in Asia. She has conducted executive workshops on Asian business, politics, economics and culture for multinational and Asian companies and associations including Coca-Cola, Texaco, Lockheed Martin, Indofood, Motorola, Thomson TV, Delphi Automotive, the Chief Executives Organization and CoreNet Global. She has also done training and briefings for the U.S. State Department Foreign Service Institute, and the U.S. Trade Representative, has testified to the U.S. Congress House Subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific, and has addressed the United Nations General Assembly (Economic Committee) twice. Linda has consulted for many organizations, including various U.S. companies, private think tanks, United Nations agencies and the OECD. |

Robyn Meredith

Robyn Meredith is Senior Editor Asia for Forbes Magazine. Based in Hong Kong, she has written cover stories on General Motors, Toyota and Microsoft.
Ms. Meredith joined Forbes as its Detroit Bureau Manager in April, 2000. One of her Forbes articles was included in the 2002 Edition of the book “The Best Business Stories of the Year.”
From January, 1996 until April, 2000, Ms. Meredith was a Detroit correspondent for The New York Times. She spent the 1998-1999 academic year as a Michigan Journalism Fellow at the University of Michigan Business School.
Ms. Meredith wrote for the USA Today as a business reporter in 1995. She spent the previous two years as a reporter in the Washington bureau of the American Banker newspaper, where her reporting exposed a pattern of insider deals at savings and loans which led to four Congressional hearings and an overhaul of U.S. banking regulations governing initial public offerings.
Ms. Meredith, 37, received a B.A. degree, cum laude, from Boston University in 1990. She is the author of the forthcoming book “The Elephant and the Dragon,” on the rise of India and China. |

Fara Warner

Fara Warner has written about marketing, advertising, and consumer trends for more than fifteen years for The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Fast Company, Brandweek and other national publications.
Warner joined the Journal in 1994 from Brandweek, where she wrote extensively about the advertising and marketing industries. In 1995, she became a correspondent for the Journal’s Asian edition, covering consumer trends, media, and marketing in Asia from her base in Singapore.
In 1998, she came to the Journal’s Detroit bureau, where she covered e-commerce, marketing, and Ford Motor Co. In 2000, she joined Fast Company as a senior writer, where she wrote “Nike’s Women’s Movement,” an in-depth account of how Nike transformed the way it sells to, designs for, and communicates to women. She holds a master’s degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and is a recipient of a Knight-Wallace Fellowship at the University of Michigan for 2005-2006. She lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Daphne Zheng

Daphne Zheng has served as Vice President of Communications for OnStar by GM since October, 2005. In her current position, Daphne is responsible for strategizing and implementing both external and internal communications initiatives to enhance the image and reputation of the industry's leading in-vehicle communications and service provider.
Before joining OnStar, Daphne has held communications roles for GM in China, US and Europe since 1997. In 2001, as the first local Chinese promoted to join the company's executive team, Daphne became Director of Public Affairs and Communications for GM China Group, overseeing the corporate and brand image and reputation for the world's leading auto company in the Greater China region. Under her leadership, GM has seen a significant increase in the awareness and perception of its corporate and product brands in China. GM and its key operations in China have been awarded as the most respected foreign-invested company in China.
Daphne has a bachelor's degree in International Journalism from Shanghai International Studies University and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from New York State University. Before joining GM, Daphne was a business reporter for the largest English newspaper in China, the China Daily. |
