The Entrepreneur & Venture Club welcomes everyone in the University of Michigan community to join us--current students & alumni. As one of the largest organizations at the University of Michigan Business School, we are dedicated to developing entrepreneurial activity and investment in new business ventures.

• Participate in Breakfast Clubs -- the EVC's unique interactive workshop format for hatching and developing business ideas

• The annual Entrapalooza Entrepreneur and Venture Symposium with over 500 attendees

Off-Campus Jobs and Internships

• A part-time jobs program with local venture capital and start up firms
• A Meet the Interns Panel to learn more about prior internships at start-ups and VCs
• Tips on the Marcel Gani Summer Internship Program which places over 20 students per year
• Networks and job leads which are specifically focused on entrepreneurs and venture capitalists

Business Plan Competitions and Opportunities

• The Business Pitch Competition as part of the FuturTech Forum: $1,500-5,000 top prize
• Participate in over 16 Business Plan competitions throughout the Midwest and the US each year including:
  • Great Lakes Entrepreneur's Quest: $175,000 in prizes
  • The University of Michigan Pryor Hale Competition: $10,000 top prize
  • MBA Jungle Business Plan Competition: $25,000 top prize
  • Most travel expenses are paid-for by the Zell-Lurie Institute
• The ZLI Dare to Dream Grants: Provides over $75,000 of funding for student start-up businesses

Local Networking Opportunities

• Local network opportunities sponsoring trips to the Ann Arbor IT Zone weekly meetings and the TiE Detroit Symposiums
• Guest speakers from local VC's on topics ranging from business pitches to analyzing business plans
