While I chose my M-Trek based on its location in Peru, the real takeaway for me was the relationship I developed with the rest of the group. Beyond hiking ancient ruins at sunrise, learning how to make ceviche in the kitchen of a fancy restaurant, and boating on a lake 13,000 feet above sea level, I came to Ross with 18 close friends. All around just a fantastic experience

Iceland was incredible. I signed up for an M-Trek hoping to meet a few people before school started and my expectations were completely blown out of the water. Everything from backpacking through volcanoes and snowmobiling on glaciers to white-water rafting and soaking in the blue lagoon served to form bonds of a lifetime. Spending ten days of adventure with a group of amazing people is by FAR the best way to jump-start the experience at Ross!

M-trek is unlike any holiday you have had. It is not just the adventure that shapes your experience, but also the group. In 9 days in Colorado we went hiking, white-water rafting and canoeing, amidst a stay in hotels, cabins, and camps. But, to top it all, was the group and the friends I made on the trek. It's the ideal way to get started with b-school.

M-Trek was a great way to kick-off my experience at Ross. I knew I was going to have fun scuba diving, sailing, and hiking ancient Mayan ruins in Belize, but the memories I made with my fellow trekkers swapping late night stories and enjoying the local island scenery will last well beyond my two years at Ross. I came back to Ann Arbor with 14 awesome friends before school even started!

I was lucky enough to spend my birthday in South Africa with my M-Trek. While it was amazing to get to spend that day hiking the Cape of Good Hope, seeing penguins and baboons, and exploring Cape Town, the best birthday present was bonding with seventeen amazing people who have become some of my very best friends at Ross.
