UMBS Toastmasters
Our Toastmasters club is effective at running insightful, rewarding toastmaster meetings- over years. All members are encouraged to participate upon their level of comfort.

What we value most about our members is their diverse cultural backgrounds, line of work, and unique perspectives on life. The meetings are never boring. People get laughs and encouragements as they improve on their communication skills. There are many roles in each meetings. This is to ensure that everyone who wants to speak has a chance to do so.

Toastmasters International
UMBS Toastmasters II is part of Toastmasters International. The first Toastmaster's club was established to provide training in communications and leadership. The organization was founded in 1924 when a group of businessmen began meeting in a local YMCA to practice public speaking. Those goals are still at the heart of any Toastmasters club today.

Here are a few facts about Toastmasters International:

  • Non-profit organization, all members must be over the age of 18

  • There are Over 8,000 clubs around the world with 170,000 members of people from a variety of backgrounds.
