Dr. Clyde is also a Research Fellow at the William Davidson Institute. His work with the William Davidson Institute includes facilitating the development of business education programs in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan and work for state-owned and private firms in India, Singapore and Romania. Prior to joining the University, Dr. Clyde was an economist at the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice and a consultant with National Economic Research Associates. While at the Antitrust Division, he advised the governments of many transition economies on their competition laws and natural monopoly laws, including the Czech Republic and Slovakia where he lived for one year working as the economic advisor. He has also worked with numerous companies on economic, finance and strategy issues and has published articles in a number of journals including The Journal of Finance, Managerial and Decision Economics and Economic Inquiry.
