Misson Statement

Coram Deo is a community at the Ross School of Business dedicated to sharing God's love and encouraging its members.

What does the name mean?

Coram Deo means "before the face of God" in Latin. This phrase represents the place where we, as Christians, most want to be.

What do we do?

Coram Deo seeks to explore what it means to live as such -- “before the face of God.” More specifically, we seek to build meaningful community at Ross, delve into issues regarding faith and ethics, and provide a forum for people to learn more about Christianity.

Why join?

Business school can be demanding and strenuous. We experience struggles that others may be unable to relate to – together, we hope to “bear one another’s burdens” and “spur one another on to love and good deeds.”

Moreover, we hope to use Coram Deo as an avenue for using the skillsets gained in b-school to improve communities through commerce. Since our inception in 2001, our summer engagements have taken us from Singapore, Indonesia, China and most recently, to the Central African Republic.

If you don’t know about Christianity, and want to find out more, we welcome your questions and would love to dialogue with you.

Regardless of where you are spiritually, we welcome you.
