Welcome to FAST Connections!
RSB's Faculty/Staff Relationships Task Force (FAST
Connections) is identifying ways to improve the
partnership between faculty and staff to impact overall
organizational effectiveness. By taking advantage of
various opportunities to work together, faculty and
staff can learn to appreciate the contributions each can
make, leading to trust and more satisfying
accomplishments.
FAST Connections was unanimously selected to receive one
of the first VOICES Champions Awards presented at the
Voices of the Staff Annual Meeting on May 16, 2008.

One of the best ways
FAST Connections (Faculty and Staff Communication Task
Force) has found to foster greater appreciation and
interaction between faculty and staff is our joint
events – educational, social, and charitable.
During the 2007-2008 academic year, over 100 faculty and
staff attended our educational “How to…” Brown Bag
Series on the following topics:

Preparing for College
-
Eldercare – Facts, Communication, Roles and
Resources
-
What’s Your Vision of Retirement
-
Ways to Manage Stress and Stay Afloat
And, over 100 faculty, staff, and guests enjoyed our 2nd
Annual Tiger Outing (with a win, of course) and the
Hands-on-Museum.
Lastly, faculty and staff joined together to collect,
produce, and publish a cookbook to benefit Mott
Children’s Hospital – over 150 copies have been sold to
date.
Thanks to the Ross community for participating in and
supporting the efforts of FAST Connections!
We are also delighted
to share with you that one of the other five awardees of
the VOICES Champion awards was our own Jane Dutton,
faculty advisor to the VOICES Faculty/Staff
Communication Network Team and co-chair of FAST
Connections.
Faculty and
Staff at Ross have been busy cooking up something new:
"Cooking with Community: Ross Recipes" -- a cookbook
that features over 100 recipes submitted by Ross Faculty
and Staff.
$15.00 for one cookbook, $30.00
for two, and $40.00 for three!
