Welcome...
The Public
and Private Sectors Club(PPSC) is an organization that examines public and private sectors'
influence on the development and implementation of public policy. Housed in both the Ford School
and the Ross School of Business, PPSC provides a network for MBA and MPP students interested in
the interaction between business and government. Through PPSC, students learn to leverage the
potential of both sectors by organizing and attending various events such as discussion panels,
guest speakers, faculty lectures and career fairs. The PPSC board is made up of MBA and MPP students:
- Co-chairs: Jomo Thorne (MBA/MPP) and Srinivas Pai (MBA)
- Director of Public Sector Relations: Taryn MacFarlane (MBA/MPP)
- Director of Private Sector Relations: Roxanne Ryan (MBA)
- Director of Communications and Membership: Vanessa Frey (MBA/MPP)
- Director of Career Development: Michelle Sargent (MPP)
- Director of Finance: Tripp Frey (MBA)
Events
The PPSC plans to have several events during the 2006-07
academic year, including:
- Informal lunches with Michigan Professors
- Career networking events and internship
panels that discuss job opportunities that deal
with public-private sector issues
- Privatization Panel
