Peter Lenk is an associate professor of
Operations Management and Marketing at the Stephen M. Ross Business School
at the University of Michigan. His primary area of research is Bayesian
inference and its applications. Peter's research includes
semiparametric density and regression estimation and applications of
Bayesian inference to marketing, finance, and information science.
He received his PhD in 1984 at the University of Michigan under the able
and demanding guidance of Bruce Hill. His dissertation received the
Savage Award in 1985. He was a faculty member of the Statistics and
Operations Research Department at the Stern School of Business, New York
University from 1984 to 1989, at which time he joined the University of
Michigan Business School.
