Hey
5's,
A
quick update on a good section-bonding weekend:
Friday
night was "Second City" at The Ark in downtown Ann
Arbor. A solid
group
of Section 5 met up for popcorn, beer (with a small membership
fee...what's
up with THAT?!) and some serious laughter. The players took
two
hours of our life and poked fun at everything possible...sex,
race,
religion,
gender, pregnancy and a fair amount of profanity were all on
the
table and for some reason, a rocket-handed German umbrella skit
is
still
stuck in my head. Good call Rem!
Saturday
morning saw a solid quarter of our section show up to help at
Habitat
for Humanity. Working in a mud pit, the gang put up aluminum
siding
on a new home. Amidst losing a shoe (but avoiding disaster with
some
talented hopping), varying hammer skills, a few premature cuts
and
nails
and one nameless Section 5er who must have had a past life as
Bob
Vila,
we all had a great time, ruined about 18 pairs of shoes, and put
some
effort behind the experience started during LDP. Thanks to Ali
Dimond
for setting this up!
I
hope the Finance efforts are going well for everyone.
Cheers,
Jordan.
