Thought I'd share this with the public, people can recognize old names and perhaps correct any errors that slipped through. This list encompasses Ascent-WoW in its entirety from closed beta to open beta to Medivh to Thrall. Most of the list is from memory, old dkp files and memories of current and former members.



By class and somewhat order of joining:

The first seperator is to show who was in the guild during closed beta from the Everquest times.

The second is the transfer from Medivh to Thrall.

edit: I colored current tagged (or very recently tagged and were not untagged due to not completing a recruitment cycle) people as red. This includes raiders, non-raiders and inactives slated to return to activity.

I colored people I could remember who are still on Thrall as orange.

Correct errors if you know any.

Is the second line strictly join date or membership (post-initiate) date? I was in Ascent on Medivh as "Gina." Pretty sure Yurii was on Medivh too but I can't say for sure.

Wow.. That list brought back a lot of memories. Also, to correct as Taiga said, Yurii joined on Medivh yeah and he still plays as a BElf DK named Kordolaf on Thrall :)

edit: Oh and I'm on Thrall as Zeus actually as my main :) Seuss is alive though!

Thanks for posting that, crazy how much that makes you think, and the memories that come flooding back as a young college pup who would forgo the club with his friends sometimes, just to keep watch on a stupid spawn when instances were a thing long ago.

but seriously high there, sad to see w/e it is happened to Ascent happen, BUT if anyone is thinking of playing Aion for a bit I plan on playing for like a month and a half until I go back to Iraq at the end of Oct. :(

I think she meant he was referencing fourwalls, not that he was him. Pretty sure we'd all know if Cladd was on Detheroc.

Itwasluck maybe? can't think of another shaman that really did arenas.

I doubt it, he and I were partners for the most part.

I just stumbled on this, thanks for putting that together Glayde, I was amazed at how many names I recognized and like others have mentioned it brought back a ton of fun memories. It's also nice to see where these people are today.

As for where myself and my son (Lightstalker) are these days, my son has grown up and is in his first year at R.I.T majoring in computer science, he continued to play wow for a couple more years after Ascent but ditched his priest for a feral druid. I still play, not so much on my priest Aphextwin but my warrior , just never knew just how much fun tanking was.

I'll have to stop by Thrall one of these days and say hi.

He actually joined Medivh with Chammy, myself and Perfect. He barely played before ninja-selling (with the new owner continuing to raid). Perfect (priest) played consistently in late-MC era (he's in the ragnaros kill shot) before disappearing to college. He started the original "post pictures of yourself" thread with gratuitous shots of his abs. The ragequit was due to someone waking up Vael while we were still killing elementium goblins. Not the epitaph I imagined for myself.
